What's On

Gathering to build a house of prayer, praise, reconciliation, generosity and belonging one brick at a time.

Get Involved

Join the life at Salt Church by being part of our weekly rhythms. Whether serving or attending, we all have a brick to lay! “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9

Prayer

Building a house of prayer! We believe this is the church’s engine room. We have seen great fruitfulness and testimonies come from these times.

  • Tuesday 6pm-7pm, Knysna Primary Staffroom. During this time we are lead briefly in worship with a God-centered song and then a direction is given by a leader for this time. We then pray in small groups or corporately as the spirit leads us.

  • Hospital Prayer: first Tuesday of every month, 5:45-7pm, Knysna Provincial Hospital. A group of up to 10 people per session meets in the parking lot at the entrance to the hospital to pray together first as a team and then split into smaller teams to pray in the various wards. Sign up required for this, so please contact us.

  • Sunday Preservice Prayer: 9-9:15am, Knysna Primary School. We gather for 15 minutes to pray into every aspect of our Sunday meetings.

Band

Building a house of praise! We believe that the whole church is the ‘worship team’ and the band is there to provide the focus and direction.

  • Tuesdays 7pm, Knysna Primary School. The team for Sunday meets to practice the songs planned. They are often joined by others looking to grow their gift or become part of the team.

Media Team

Part of our band, as they work closely with the band and the sound team.

  • Sundays from 8:00am, Knysna Primary School. Our media team helps in many areas: directing the visuals during meetings, recording the service via livestream and the audio of the preach.

Life Group

Youth

We are passionate about seeing the next generation fall in love with Jesus and walk in all His ways. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” 3 John 1:2-4

  • Tuesdays, 6:00-7:00pm (during prayer). From January 2026 they will meet on Fridays. Our youth have space to get into the word, chat and do life together - like their own life group.

  • Monthly socials are arranged for weekends ranging from worship nights to beach days as communicated.

Kids

The training place for our children to be Salt and Light to the world!

  • During our Sunday service the kids leave during the second song of worship and split into their various age groups.

Salties - age 2-4, usually accompanied by a parent until child is independent enough to attend alone. They do a Bible lesson, songs and craft followed by outdoor play.

Salt and Light kids - ages 5-13 attend together and then split into 3 age groups after the main lesson. Lesson involves a game, a Bible-based teaching, some discussion around the teaching and then some outside free play.

Missions/Apostolic Trips

We desire to see the nations reconciled to the Lord. We annually join trips with teams from partnering churches which include trips to Ethiopia, Uganda, Europe and hope to add to this! Please contact us to find out more.
